LE CHOUCHOU : Jacquemus' impressive FW23 show at Versailles
On Monday, June 26, Simon Porte Jacquemus once again made a lasting impression with a prestigious guest list at the Palace of Versailles to unveil his Autumn-Winter 2023-2024 collection, "LE CHOUCHOU"
Following his Spring-Summer 2024 runway show, Jacquemus chose to present the collection from the Grand Canal of Versailles, a historic and storied location. With a touch of Marie-Antoinette vibes, the show was accompanied by Michel Legrand's musical composition for the film "Donkey Skin."
The Place :
Simon Porte Jacquemus sought a setting reminiscent of an Impressionist painting: a graphic backdrop, a vibrant red runway serving as a visual separation between grass and water, where the guests' boats were floating.
A quintessentially French collection :
Featuring reimagined crinolines, intricate lacework, everyday tutus, and a trio of red, white, and blue dresses for the grand finale, "The Darling" is a true homage to France.
